Over the years I have collected many teacups, but none can compare to my little cup of stars. It is indeed my cup of choice that adds to my daily ceremonial ritual cup of tea.  Something about this cup speaks to my celestial heart and so every morning I brew some tea, pour myself a cup of stars and sit on the front porch or back garden patio to welcome the morning. There I reflect, plan or just watch the birds and the sun rise depending on how early it is.  Then again in the afternoons when the sun is setting just as twilight has begun and the stars begin to appear in the blue hour. A nice cup of warm, soothing tea is perfect for morning and the day’s end.

It is from this daily ceremony that I was inspired to create a few of my perfume oil scents but the original inspiration began with “Tea & Twilight “.  

This scent has become my most popular and sought after perfume aromatic for my business and indeed must keep multiple jar infusions of it on hand to not run out. This small batch oil infusion base consists of dried green and black tea leaves, ginger, ground cardamom pods and vanilla bean pods in a carrier oil It is then blended with other essential oils, absolutes and then left to sit and do its magick and alchemize for 2-3 weeks before straining and using for production.

A scent formulation of notes that was not difficult to create and bring to fruition as I already had the idea for the notes in my olfactory scent memory from all the cups of enchanted tea I sipped from childhood to now as a stargazing perfumer.  I feel “Tea & Twilight” very much captures those magickal tea moments for me poured in a little cup of stars, and I hope for it to do the same for those who wear it.
